2018 Honorable Mention - Monique Avila

Photographed are Olivia Avila and “Magic”, a miniature horse, after the Marion 4th of July Horse Show. “Magic” is a 14-year-old gelding who is Olivia’s first horse, living on her grandparent’s farm “Little Ben Farms”. Olivia had a successful horse show ranking at the 4th of July Horse Show, coming in as Champion in Show in the Miniature Horse Show division. Photo was taken and submitted by Monique Avila.

2020 Honorable Mention - Colin Ladd

Photographed are Colin Ladd and "Fireball Whiskey of Windham", a Golden Retriever after winning a trick competition at a local fair. "Fireball" is a Registered Pet Partner Therapy Dog, donates blood at a Veterinary Specialist Hospital, and loves to do canine musical freestyle.

2020 Honorable Mention - Danielle Murphy

Pictured is Lorelei Murphy, age 4, after her very first pony show at Everything Little Farm. Lorelei has loved horses ever since she could talk and started riding with Miss Kelsey Beers at age 3.

2023 Honorable Mention - Karma Swanson

Photographed is No Roses for Cowboys aka Payton, proudly owned and handled by Karma Swanson. Payton is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and this photo was taken after winning his first title at NASDA Dog Trial competition in Urban Locating. Payton and his owner/handler Karma are completely new to dog sports. Payton has won several titles this year, but their goal is to get a Championship so that the next photo we display will be with one of the beautiful Hodges Champion Rosette Ribbons.

2022 Honorable Mention - Stacy Sikkenga

Pictured are Jolie and her Welsh pony cross, Milo (AKA Milo Moon Dancer!). The pair are frequent competitors at a schooling show series held at the barn where they board and train in Norton Shores, Michigan: Pepper Oaks Equestrian Center. The photographer, Stacy Sikkenga, plans to use her prize money to continue to support the barn's schooling show series.

2015 Honorable Mention - Blake Anderson

Pictured is Blake Anderson with her 17 year old Red Roan Snowflake Appaloosa, “Gracie”, after winning first place for the cloverleaf barrel and pole bending competition. The show took place at Smith Farms in Blythewood, SC where Blake is a member of the Grace Racers Barrel Team.

2024 Honorable Mention - Sela Cooper

Photographed is Jersey the Vizsla after earning her RATO title and placing second at the Ragtime Ratters barn hunt trial in Mississippi. Jersey enjoys going on adventures, napping on the couch, and participating in scent work sports since retiring from high impact sports last year.

2022 Honorable Mention - Jasmine McGown

Photographed is Faith McGown and Welsh pony, Hersey Blue Danube Dixie who is trained and owned by Kimberly Brunson of Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, Texas. Faith and Dixie were awarded double champion in the NTHJC May Days- Hunter/Jumper Horse Show Mother’s Day weekend.

2018 Honorable Mention - Kacey Kalmar

Pictured is Macrae Kalmar age 6, riding "Bart" our beloved family horse. Bart is a 26 year old Quarter Horse who has taken care of all 3 of our children, getting them started in horse showing. This is Macrae's first year riding and showing "Bart" in the West Mountain Heartbreakers Mini Riders Horse Shows.

2023 Contest Winner - Jodi Sibley

Photographed are Katelyn and Terrific, a Holstein fall calf owned by Fairmont Farm of East Montpelier, VT. This photo, taken at the Orleans & Essex County 4-H County Dairy Show in July, reflects the excitement that followed Terrific’s selection as Reserve Junior Champion. Katelyn is 11 years old and is going into her fourth year as a member of her 4-H group, Udderly Crazy.
