Prize money will be donated to Run O' The Mill Pony Club, a great organization!!
2020 Honorable Mention - Vickie Bryans
Macy Morgan (age 7) has been riding since she could sit on a horse! This past season Macy successfully showed in Crossrail Hunter divisions on her much loved "Millpond's Allie Oops", a 6 year old Welsh small pony mare, whom Macy has nicknamed "Ollie". Macy rides at Malone Farms, and trains with her aunt, Merideth Bryans. She shows at H. J. Fox Classics at the GA International Horse Park, and also at Tryon, NC and HITS Ocala. She is very excited about her prize money and has a long list of options as to what is most needed for Ollie!
2020 Honorable Mention - Susan Lease
Lenna Dentinger, age 4, is shown winning her Lead-Line class at the Seneca Co. Fair in Tiffin Ohio. She loves riding “No Chip Chuck”, her Grandma’s POA gelding by I’m a Few Spot Dream. Lenna wants to show Walk-Trot next year and will use her winnings to buy a very sparkly, pink show shirt! Thank you Pam Weller for taking her picture.
2020 Honorable Mention - Danielle Murphy
Pictured is Lorelei Murphy, age 4, after her very first pony show at Everything Little Farm. Lorelei has loved horses ever since she could talk and started riding with Miss Kelsey Beers at age 3. She plans to use the money to buy treats for the ponies and Starbucks for Miss Kelsey!
2020 Honorable Mention - Brooke Brewer
Captured is Hadley Brewer with her “Cherry On Top” sneaking a kiss after placing 5th in the Leadline 3 and Under at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show. Hadley was only 2 years old at this show and started riding her “Cherry” as soon as she was old enough to sit up. “Cherry” is the pony that all little girls dream of, she is the kindest pony and absolutely adores her tiny rider. Hadley will use her prize winnings to spoil her dear pony.
2020 Honorable Mention - Tina Mauss
This photograph is of Grace Hemmelgarn and her horse, “Liam”. I, Tina Mauss, am both Grace’s coach and the photographer.
“Liam” is a rehomed racehorse, who had many starts as a racehorse, and has found his success with Grace as his owner.
Grace bought “Liam” for a couple hundred dollars and has trained him through the dressage levels. This show was at Long Shadow Farm in Morrisville, Vermont. Grace rode “Liam” there riding the dressage test, second level, test 1.
This show was significant because it was Grace’s last chance to qualify for the Second Level Year End Championships for the local show series, Champlain Dressage Schooling Series. She did, ending up as the Year-end 2nd Level Champion!!
As you can see Grace and Liam had a marvelous day!!
2020 Honorable Mention - Emma Caroll
Pictured are Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) coach Erin Washburn and team rider Emma Carroll at an IEA show in Batavia, OH. Erin took over the post of Head Coach of Childress Rodgers Stables Equestrian Team the same year Emma started with the team as a seventh grader. This photo was taken six years—and a million great memories—later, in Emma’s senior (and final) IEA season. Cold temperatures and rain during this show weekend didn’t dampen team spirits—with both the high school and middle school teams taking high honors (and taking home gorgeous Reserve Champion ribbons), and Emma named High Point Rider. In her senior year, Emma served on the IEA National Youth Board, representing rider-members in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan, was named Zone 5 Region 2 High Point Rider, and was awarded an IEA Zone 5 scholarship. Childress Rodgers Stables Equestrian Team is having another winning season in 2019-20 under Erin’s leadership, and Emma is a freshman at the University of Kentucky, where she is following the team’s progress and is grateful for the happy years she shared with Erin through IEA.
2020 Honorable Mention - Cristie Streeter
This is Karina Streeter on rescued thoroughbred gelding “Duke of Earl”. They were just awarded champion of the Special Medal (2'3-2'6) class at the End of Summer hunter jumper show at Cedar Lodge stables in Lawrence, Michigan. Karina has been riding for 8 years. She is also an accomplished equestrian vaulter. The photo was taken by Ashley Butler with ANB Photography.
2020 Honorable Mention - Elona Self
This photograph is from Painted Skull Ranch Gymkhana Club in Ellicott, CO. The kids love to show off their ribbons when they place in these events.
2020 Honorable Mention - Mary Kate Adams
Pictured here is “First Dibbs”, a Thoroughbred cross, after winning his over fences class at their barn’s end of the summer show. “Dibbs”, as he’s known around the barn is a lesson horse well loved by all at Sue Hubbell Hunters and Jumpers but especially by Anaye (not pictured) who he won this ribbon with. While “Dibbs” thinks the winnings should be spent solely on treats, this money will be going towards a new saddle and a bag of carrots with his name on it. Photo was taken by Suzanne Bowyer and submitted on her behalf by Mary Kate Adams.
2020 Honorable Mention - Mary Kate Adams
Featured in this photo we have Jocelyn Lowe and “This Budd’s For You”, an American Warmblood, after their barn’s end of summer show. “Zar”, as he’s known around the barn, is a 21 year old gelding who was graciously loaned to Jocelyn by his owner for the show. Jocelyn is 12 years old and was so excited for the experience she got under her belt from this show before going to her first show off the farm a few weeks later. As a surprise for their trainer, Sue Hubbell, for hosting the show the winnings from the photo contest will be going towards our school horse saddle fund. Photo was taken by Suzanne Bowyer and submitted on her behalf by Mary Kate Adams.
